Two co-workers are getting praised on social media after one of them tweeted about their efforts in helping the New York protestors.

Together, the two have cooked 400 meals and 200 dessert trays to pass around for free to Brooklyn protestors that were having a difficult time finding food.

After the photo of their meals went viral, the two set up a GoFundMe to raise money for food and kitchen supplies. The goal of the campaign is $5,000 and so far they have collected around $2,000.

Many Twitter users responded to their tweet with words of encouragement calling them heroes and angels and asking how they too can help the movement. This story proves the power of social media and in this case, it was for a positive reason.
