Marty McFly and Doc Brown are back! Well, sort of...no there is not going to be another ride in the DeLorean, but we are getting the next best thing if you are into food! An official Back to the Future cookbook is coming out next month and will feature over 65 recipes inspired by the classic film.
Titled Back to the Future: The Official Hill Valley Cookbook, written by James Beard Award-nominated chef and cookbook author Allison Robicelli will hit shelves on October 27th!
All the recipes will be inspired by iconic places in the movie as well as the time periods that McFly and Brown travel to. For example, the book starts in 1985 and according to a press release is filled with "quick, convenient recipes perfect for a busy scientist or teenager with rock n’ roll dreams." Then the book goes back in time to 1955 with some recipes perfect for that 'white picket fence' American family. Following the film trilogy's era-hopping timeline, the book will then stop in 2015 for mini pizzas and other futuristic meals as that was the year that Back to the Future 2 was about.
Here is an example of one of the many recipes featured. This is "Doc Brown's Time Altering Chicken Pot Pie."
Cookbooks based on iconic/classic movies and TV shows have become a popular trend as both Friends and The Office have had different recipe books created using famous dishes and inside jokes from the show.
