One of the best parts of going to a Ryan Hurd show is trying to guess which song he is going to cover because he loves highlighting other artists and performing his favorite non-country songs for his fans.

Hurd loves to cover pop artists and put his own spin on their songs because he appreciates all genres of music.

A few months ago on Instagram, Hurd posted how he was obsessed with Taylor Swift's new song "False God." He said he wished it was a song he had written because the lyrics were some of the most beautiful and powerful he's ever heard.

The song came out in August and since then it has been one of Hurd's favorites, which is why he decided to cover it on his Platonic Tour in the winter. Every night in the middle of his set he would cover this sexy and passionate song and it quickly became a crowd favorite.

His fans kept messaging him about how much they loved his rendition and how he should record his own version.

And that is exactly what Hurd did, BUT he even went a step further and released a music video for the cover! The video consists of all live footage from his Platonic Tour that was unfortunately canceled due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

Now his fans can feel like they saw him live covering this Taylor Swift song!
