Great news for Illinois residents looking for some fun for the whole family: the Shedd Aquarium is offering free admission throughout the entire month of October!
Illinois residents can visit for free every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in October. All you have to do is provide proof of residency.
If skeptical about visiting an inside and interactive place such as the Shedd, do not worry because the aquarium has adopted many preventative policies to help stop the spread of COVID-19. All guests under the age of 2 must wear a face mask at all times, there will be limited capacity inside the building, reservations are required, and hand sanitizer stations are around seemingly every corner. The aquarium wants to ensure all guests can have a safe and educational time while visiting with friends and family.
Visitors can make reservations either online or on the phone at 312-939-2438.
***There will be a $3 transaction fee on tickets reserved online. BUT that is wayyyyy cheaper than the $30 per person it normally costs.
