The Original Rainbow Cone is going mobile!
You no longer have to travel to South West Chicago to get the sweet treat with all its delicious flavors because thanks to the restaurant's new ice cream truck, it will come to your neighborhood!
The ice cream restaurant has been in business since 1926 and has become a local staple with its famous rainbow cone consisting of chocolate, strawberry, Palmer House, pistachio, and orange sherbet flavors! What makes their ice cream special is that it is sliced, not scooped!
Many customers flock to the downtown location, but due to the pandemic, business has not been booming as much as normal in the summertime. In order to combat the lack of business at the brick and mortar store, The Original Rainbow Cone is using their new ice cream truck to make stops in local suburban neighborhoods.
The truck first made its debut in the Buona Beef parking lot in Darien, IL on July 11th and has since been traveling to other Chicagoland areas.
The line for the rainbow cone has been wrapping around parking lots and the company has decided to continue traveling throughout the entire summer.
To keep up with the truck's location, make sure to follow The Original Rainbow Cone on Facebook, so you'll never miss it when it is close to you!
