Thomas Rhett and his wife, Lauren Akins, were some of the featured guests on today's episode of The Kelly Clarkson show as the two joined the show via video conference call from Nashville.
Both Thomas and Lauren opened up about their daughter's adoption story that moved Kelly to tears. The two explained how they felt when they first met their oldest daughter, Willa Gray, and why adoption is so important to their family.
Rhett then talked to Kelly about life in quarantine with three young daughters and a couple of dogs, and how he bruised his tailbone while pretending to be Tarzan.
He ended his time on the show by performing his new single 'Be A Light' that he wrote as a reminder to keep staying positive and optimistic during this worldwide pandemic. The song was recorded with Christian singer Chris Tomlin and some of Rhett's fellow country music friends including Keith Urban, Reba McEntire, and Hillary Scott from Lady Antebellum.
