The home builder competition series tentatively titled 'Assembly Required' will premiere on the History channel in 2021 with 10 episodes.
The show will follow the best and brightest home builders from across the country as they repair household items that are in desperate need of fixing.
In a statement regarding the new series Allen said, "Let’s face it, we’re living in a throwaway society. We buy, break, replace… rinse and repeat. Whatever happened to repair and rebuild?! There are some people who unfriend, unfollow and dispose of anything that offends, annoys, or breaks – so I’ve created a show to remind people of the satisfaction and pride that comes from rebuilding something on their own. And who better to join me than my buddy from the old Tool Time days, Richard Karn!"
Allen and Karn will both host and executive produce the competition show.
America's favorite home improvement duo is back to help inspire viewers to think twice about throwing out an old item and instead learn how to use innovation and creativity to rebuild.
