Two New Drive-In Movie Theaters Coming to Chicagoland Area

Looking for fun ways to spend a summer evening with your family? How about going to a classic drive-in movie theater? 

Good news, two brand new drive-in theaters are coming to the Chicagoland area! 

The first, ChiTown Movies drive-in, is located in the Pilsen neighborhood at the Chi-Town Futbol facility at 2343 S. Throop Street. Movies will be shown in the parking lot on a 40-foot projection screen and like classic drive-ins, the audio can be heard through the cars' FM radios. The price is $33 per vehicle for up to five adults and $5 additional charge for each extra adult. 

Patrons can order concessions over the phone or online at the theater's ChiTown Grille and then food will be delivered to each car. The theater officially opened yesterday (Tuesday, June 9th) and Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope was the first movie screened. 
Tomorrow (Thursday, June 11th) Chicago Drive-In Theaters is opening a location at SeatGeek Stadium, 7000 S. Harlem Avenue, in Bridgeview. Tickets will range anywhere from $30 - $50 per vehicle depending on the number of adults and children present. Movies will begin at 8:30 pm on weekdays with midnight showings on Friday and Saturday. The first movie shown tomorrow will be The Goonies.

Masks are required at both drive-in locations when exiting your vehicle to use the restroom or order food.
