Veteran's One Last Wish Fulfilled While in Hospice #GoodVibes

John Vincent, a Marine that fought in Vietnam, was admitted to a VA hospice center last week.

Unfortunately, he had no family or relatives around, so his beloved dog Patch had to be taken to an animal welfare department. The Chief of Field Operations, Adam Ricci, at the welfare department said it is standard practice in situations like these that the pets end up at a shelter when their owner can no longer care for them.

When it seemed like Vincent only had a few days left, he told his social worker that his last dying wish was to see his dog again.

Even though it was not normal to do, Ricci could not say no to Vincent and Patch spending one more day together.

The VA hospital, along with the shelter, organized everything and brough Patch to visit Vincent over the weekend. The two were able to spend the whole day together cuddling and hanging out for the last time. You can see the love in Vincent's eyes!

Patch has since returned to the shelter and Ricci does not think he will have any trouble getting adopted. Vincent and everyone else that has since heard his story is so thrilled that his one last wish was fulfilled! #GoodVibes
