How a Customer Service Representative in Mississippi Saved a Man's Life in Michigan #GoodVibes

Dan Magennis had no idea how important his call to Comcast the other day would end up being.

Magennis called the television service provider to discuss his cable and as soon as a representative answered he began slurring his speech while also losing feeling in one of his arms and legs.

He was calling from Michigan and the representative, Kimberly Williams, was in Jackson, Mississippi, but she recognized what was happening and helped right away.

"Only thing I was able to get was his name and then his words got slurred right away," said Kimberly Williams. "And then I heard the phone drop."

Williams knew Magennis was having stroke symptoms because when she was a teenager she witnessed her grandmother have one. She said the way he was trying to respond reminded her of her grandmother because she can never forget what she sounded like on that horrible day.

Immediately, Williams began googling first responders in Magennis's area. After several tries to get through, she finally contacted a dispatcher who then sent a response team to his home.

The crew arrived through Magennis's garage and rushed him to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital, the state's largest comprehensive stroke center. After an hour the clogged artery that led to his stroke was unclogged and doctors said if Magennis arrived any later to the hospital, they do not know if he would have made it.

Magennis is set to be released from the hospital just two days later with almost no discernible signs of a stroke. Thanks to a Comcast agent, who didn't hang up. There truly are good people in this world that are willing to help no matter what. #GoodVibes
