The coronavirus may have banned public visitors from the nursing home, but that did not stop Bob Shellard from celebrating his 67th wedding anniversary over the weekend.
He could not see his wife in person, so instead, he stood outside her window with balloons and the cutest sign that read, "I've loved you 67 years and still do. Happy Anniversary!"
His wife Nancy could be seen waving and blowing kisses to Shellard from her window when she saw the sign.
Health officials have said those over 60 are at a very high risk of becoming ill if they contract COVID-19 (coronavirus), which is why all nursing homes and senior living communities across the nation have limited visitors.
Before the ban, Shellard used to visit his wife, who suffers from Alzheimer's and dementia, every day.
When talking about Nancy, Shellard said, "I wouldn't want anyone else." The two are the best example of love that have upheld the vow 'through sickness and health.' We wish the two many more years of love and happiness, #GoodVibes
