This group of five friends nicknamed "Super Bowl Five" has attended every single Super Bowl since 1967. That's more games than Joe Montana, Terry Bradshaw, and Tom Brady combined!
The five New Yorkers, Sylvan Schefler, Lew Rappaport, Al Schragis, Larry McDonald, and Harvey Rothenberg, who range from their late-70s to mid-80s - first attended the AFL-NFL World Championship Game (know referred to as The Super Bowl) at the Los Angeles Coliseum. The excitement they experienced that first game convinced the friends that they should attend the next championship game —and each one after that.
There is only one rule for their annual Super Bowl trip: no wives allowed! That's only because its an epic tale of make bonding.
The group is heading to Miami next week for Super Bowl 54 and will be wearing their custom rings, jackets, and ties!
It's crazy to think tickets were only $10 for that first game they attended! Now prices are ranging from $4,000 - $7,500! The five have said even with the increased prices of tickets and airfare, they are dedicated to the game and money will never hold them back.
