Latonya Young, a single mother that works as a hairstylist by day and an Uber driver by night met a passenger that changed her life.
A few months ago she picked up a passenger outside of Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the two got to talking about their life's story. Young told the passenger, identified as Kevin Esch, about her struggles as a single mom, how she had to drop out of high school at age 16 and then had to stop taking college courses recently because of a $700 debt.
Young explained that every time she had a little bit of money to pay off the balance, her kids needed something and they are her first priority.
A few days later she received a notice that her balance was paid and she was eligible to register for classes. Her previous Uber passenger, Esch, had paid it for her!
Young was then able to finish schooling and receive a degree in criminal justice, getting her one step closer to her dream of becoming a lawyer!
The two kept in touch and Esch attended Young's graduation in December!
Esch said Young is an inspiration and he was blessed to have had the opportunity to help her. He did not just pay off a debt but helped change Young's life and open the door to a brighter future. #GoodVibes
