With snow in the forecast for Halloween tomorrow, one Chicago-area suburb is rescheduling trick-or-treating.- Vernon Hills has been rescheduled for 2-5 p.m. Saturday.
- The Village is concerned for the safety of children crossing streets when traffic conditions will be at their worst.
- The National Weather Service reports this could be Chicago’s snowiest Halloween on record.
Chicago public schools will not be going to school today but an end of the strike may be near.
- CTU President Jesse Sharkey says a lot has been achieved in the negotiations, but he is waiting to see the written language.
- After yesterday's meeting with Mayor Lightfoot reports say all the major issues were resolved; class size, staffing, pay for teachers and everything the union has brought forward.
- But the CTU has not agreed with the proposed offer yet.
Amazon is making grocery delivery free for Prime Members!
- Before today, Amazon charged Prime members a $14.99 monthly subscription fee for its Amazon Fresh online grocery delivery service.
- This free service will be rolling out in phases.
