CPS' chief education officer said yesterday was a good day.
  • There is hope that students will be back in classrooms as soon as Monday, but no deal just yet. 
  • Striking pickers will resume this morning and continue until the deal is done. 
  • Fallout from the strike is impacting ACT, PSAT, and SAT tests that were scheduled for this weekend and have now been rescheduled. 
  • Additionally, CPS athletes are suing Chicago Public Schools and the IHSA, saying they've been unfairly denied the right to take part in state playoffs because of the teachers’ strike.​
  • Some are concerned that the tournament would have been their best chance at potentially getting college scholarships.

The pressure is on to hit that fall festival this weekend if you haven't done it yet.
