House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced a formal impeachment inquiry against President Trump yesterday.

•  She is accusing him of, quote, "betrayal of his oath of office, betrayal of our national security and betrayal of the integrity of our elections," and stating, "No one is above the law."
• An issue is whether Trump abused his presidential powers and pressured Ukraine's president to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, and his son Hunter Biden.
•  Trump, meanwhile, authorized the release of a transcript of his call with Ukraine's president, which is to be made public today, saying, "You will see it was a very friendly and totally appropriate call."

The cast of Hamilton Chicago joined the Cook County Clerk's office yesterday to encourage folks to register to vote! 

• Ebrin R. Stanley plays James Madison in the long-running musical and he said "What better recruiters than the cast who play the founding fathers." 
• This was the cast’s third year participating in the National Voter Registration Day.
