Ryan Hurd grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan before moving to Nashville to pursue music.

2. He studied sociology at Belmont University in Nashville.
3. He wrote Blake Shelton's "Lonely Tonight," and earned a Grammy nomination for the song!
4. He loves to fish and deer hunt.
5. He loves to check out regional food in cities he's touring in. His favorites include cheesesteaks in Philadelphia, wings in Buffalo, and New York style pizza.
