#FindingTheGood: Two brothers' Christmas invention raises $250,000 for local animal shelters

I need this invention for Christmas next year!

Ever get tired of your pets playing catch with the Christmas tree bulbs? Two Connecticut brothers came up with a solution & helped raised a ton of $ for their local animal shelters.

Ayaan Naqvi and his brother Mickey, both 12, invented the Ornament Anchor after one of their favorite holiday ornaments dropped and broke on the floor one day.

"My brother and I worked together to design the product, patent it, create an awesome website ... we did everything to the point where every month was Christmas!" Ayaan told CNN.

In just a few short months, they'd raised $250,000, donating a portion of the proceeds to homeless animals.

Why animal shelters for the donations? "Ever since I was super young, I've had a fascination with all of life's creatures. [Our] goal is to help as many animals in need as I can."
