No-shows are always annoying, and let's be honest--rude. So, how can you stop these flakes from pulling a no-show to your wedding? Well, you could charge them? That's what Doug and Dedra Simmons of Chicago did when they had their dream destination wedding in Jamaica.
Instead of just accepting that no-shows happen, they decided to send no-show guests an invoice of $120 for each empty seat at the reception! Some say it makes sense, the Simmons' paid for meals and more and these people chose to not come, despite and RSVP saying otherwise. Others say it's equally as rude to send an unexpected invoice to someone when their reason for not coming could be personal or an emergency.
