Bridget Kolls is a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan and found herself in need of a new kidney after undergoing dialysis three times a week for 4 hours a day. The doctors said it needed to happen sooner than later!

What did she do? She made a poster sign at a Cubs game last summer that said, "This 'Lil Cubbie Needs A Kidney!" with her phone number attached. Who came to her rescue?

A Chicago White Sox fan! Thomas Alessio saw her sign on a Cubs media post (they shared it everywhere), texted her directly, went in for tests to see if he was a match ... the next six months were a blur.
