One Texas high school has been helping fight food insecurity for the past few months, run completely by its students!
Linda Tutt High School in Sanger, Texas partnered with Firest Refuge Ministries (a local nonprofit) to make sure their students and their families have the necessities they might not otherwise be able to afford.
Principal Anthony Love told GMA that the idea initially came from First Refuge, because of the overwhelming need in the community.
In addition to food distribution, the store is teaching life skills to the students who work there, including time management, inventory, employee relations and more. We love ALL of this!
