When the Cardinals were in town this weekend to play the Cubs, a young fan from St. Louis was able to get her idol Adam Wainwright's attention.
When she did, Emery and her mom handed him a letter & a plastic bag with some coins and dollar bills. The letter congratulated him on striking out his 2,000th batter ... the allowance money was for his Big League Impact charity, which focuses on making clean water accessible to all.
As a kicker, Emery even included her own scribbled autograph, just in case >>> "if I ever get famous!"
