Tragically Beverly lost her home due to a fire and her family didn't have anywhere for her to go. She is just a baby herself but already has had at least one litter of puppies. Beverly was very nervous her first few days at the shelter. The noise level can be overwhelming.
She would do a lot of pancakes and freezes in fear when it became too much. Despite her unsureness, Beverly allowed handling all over. It took her a few days to feel completely comfortable and fully engage. Now Beverly knows that the volunteers are there to help her.
She gives us tail wags when it is her turn to go for a walk and leans in for pets whenever we stop moving. Beverly takes treats gently and is working on her commands. She came to us underweight and continues to be food motivated.
She seems under socialized with other animals and not sure what to do. Her best life would include continued training in a pet free home so she can work up to making dog friends if possible.
Came in as an owner surrender on 2/17/21 and is available to rescue groups NOW!
Surrender notes: house burnt down, lived with kids 2 - 7 years, didn't live with other animals
