After seeing a local report about the need for extra food assistance at her local military base food pantry, Judy Peterson of Kenly, North Carolina thought it was the right thing to do.
She donated her entire second stimulus check to the Fort Bragg YMCA food pantry. Why? "I was watching [the report], and they had a young woman on who was going to the food bank at Fort Bragg. Two of my boys and two of my grandsons have gone through; one is actually in the military now. I know they don’t make a lot of money."
