As she readies to hit the road as part of Lady A’s What A Song Can Do Tour, Pearce joined Audacy’s Kelly Ford for a light-hearted game of “Thank You, Yes” or “Thank You, Next,” inspired by her song, “Next Girl.”

“Thank You, Yes!” Pearce enthusiastically answered when asked if she’d participate in the NYC Marathon. “But I bet I wouldn’t qualify, so thank you, next… or thank you, next year!” she laughed.

So what did she have to say about eating street meat from a food cart?

“Thank you, next!” She replied, without hesitation.

Lastly, Pearce made all of us feel seen as Ford asked her about “post-pandemic, hugging strangers.”

“Thank you, yes… kind of,” Pearce said, questioning her own answer almost immediately. We feel ya, Carly — it’s a strange world! “Maybe like, a stranger that I’ve met before?” She said, laughing.

Hugs or no hugs, Pearce is thrilled to be back on the road, visiting with fans and playing live music after a trying year off the road.

“Just being able to be back in big venues is going to be so fun,” Pearce shared. “I don’t usually go out and tailgate [before the show], but maybe I will, just because I am that excited!”

We’ll see you out there, Carly — but don’t worry, no street meat!

Lady A’s What A Song Can Do Tour kicks off this Thursday in Uncasville, CT and will continue with two more stops on the East Coast over the weekend. One on July 30 in Wantagh, NY at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater and the other on July 31 at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ.
