A vulnerable new collection of life lessons accumulated through her twenties leads to this fresh set of songs, as the “How Long” singer sat with Katie Neal to talk about her new project and how in intertwines with her romance novel of the same name.

“Well, it was really about 10 years of writing to accumulate all of these stories and the life lessons and it encapsulates from 20 to 30,” reveals Hammack. “I turned 30 last year, and I have learned so much about myself. I found myself on a pursuit of trying to find good steady love. I have been on a search to find my soul mate, but also find inspiration in the heartbreaks that come along, and I am, I'm just so happy that throughout these different things, it's always the songs on the last record, on the first record, that people have connected the deepest to was the most vulnerable of songs. So with this album, I tried to really just wear my heart on my sleeve within the lyrics and the production.”
