Earlier this month, Pearce was told she was needed to record a promotion for Dollywood, but as a video shared to her instagram account says, “little did she know, she was about to get the surprise of a lifetime.”

As Carly stood in front of the cameras, sharing her earliest memories of Dollywood, Dolly came walking out with her bubbly self from backstage saying, “What are you doin’?”
A stunned Pearce covered her mouth as she walked the opposite direction saying, “oh my gosh!”
“We set this up so I could kinda walk in on you and surprise you,’ Dolly admitted to a still-stunned Pearce. “They told me that you have been at the Grand Ole Opry 80 times, you’ve performed. How do you do that? You should be a member… what’s wrong with them?”
“I agree!” Carly enthusiastically replied.
“I came here today to tell you, you are now an official member of the Grand Ole Opry” said Dolly, a member since 1969.
The tears were flowing as Pearce crouched to the ground in disbelief.
“Well, you can’t do it sittin’ down,” Dolly joked before teasing Pearce telling her to “get back to the Dollywood commercial.”
Carly will officially be inducted to the famed institution on August 3.
