The Duchess of Cambridge has started her vaccination journey.
Kate Middleton revealed she has received her first COVID-19 vaccine shot.
On Saturday, the 39-year-old shared a photo of a medical professional inserting the syringe in her left arm.
"Yesterday I received my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at London's Science Museum,” read the caption on the The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge social media accounts. “I'm hugely grateful to everyone who is playing a part in the rollout - thank you for everything you are doing."
Middleton inadvertently turned the health appointment into a royally casual fashion moment as she sat in a chair wearing a face mask, white scoop neck T-shirt and faded denim jeans.
Last week, Middleton’s husband, Prince William, shared a snap as he received his first dose of the vaccine.
"On Tuesday I received my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. To all those working on the vaccine rollout - thank you for everything you've done and continue to do," Prince William wrote on the official The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge social media accounts.
In addition to showing him being vaccinated, the photo also revealed William’s muscular arm and shoulder. Who knew?!
In November, it was reported that Prince William had tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in the year.
Prince William didn’t reveal his diagnosis when he contracted COVID-19 because he didn’t want to alarm the public.
In March of 2020, Prince Charles confirmed that he also tested positive for the virus. The 72-year-old heir to the British throne self-isolated with “mild symptoms.”
