CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- There was a lot of huffing and puffing at the former Hancock Building Sunday.
The annual "Hustle Chicago" stair climb benefited the Respiratory Health Association and promoted healthy lungs and clean air.
There are about 1,600 steps to the top of 875 North Michigan. Brenda Stenger made the climb in about 30 minutes.
"It was great. It was my first climb," she said. "Not too many people passed me, so I feel good about it."
Jason Mattis finished in about 16 minutes. "I have the advantage of living here, so I have a little inside training."
It took Kaeleigh Willming about 35 minutes to get to the top.
"I've never done anything like this," she said. "I've had two heart surgeries, so this is something completely out of my norm and out of my comfort zone and I'm like 'why not?"
The "Hustle Chicago" stair climb has already raised about $550,000 dollars so far and even more money is expected to be raised as the fundraising continues over the next several weeks.
