15-year-old girl among 5 shot on NW Side overnight: CPD
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Five people were shot on the city's Northwest Side overnight, including a teenage girl.
The youngest victim was a 15-year-old girl who was shot in the neck. Chicago Police said she and several others were hit by gunfire just before 1 a.m. near Pulaski and Iowa in Humboldt Park.
The girl was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
A 35-year-old man, a 25-year-old man, 19-year-old woman and 18-year-old woman were also shot. They were taken to various hospitals in fair condition.
A 33-year-old woman broke her ankle, police said.
It's not clear what led up to the shooting, but police said a suspect fled the scene on foot.
No arrests have been made.
