CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A high-rise fire on the North Side Sunday afternoon resulted in two people hurt.
The Chicago Fire Department said crews responded to a nine-story building in Lakeview, on Clark near Byron, a little after 4 p.m., after a report of a fire on the seventh floor.
Firefighters executed a complete search of the building and were able to extinguish the flames in less than a half hour.
Two adults were transported to area hospitals, one in fair condition to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, another to Swedish Covenant Hospital, in an unknown condition.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
