(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Two Northwest suburban men are accused of torturing three people kidnapped at gunpoint from a Des Plaines exotic car dealership last month.

Des Plaines Police say the three victims were repeatedly beaten, burned with a hot metal object and bound after they were abducted from an exotic car dealership on Northwest Highway.

Two of the victims co-owned the dealership and the third was an employee, police said.

Prosecutors say the victims -- two men and a woman -- were held for 10 hours, with the kidnappers demanding $2 million.

“The victims were ultimately driven back to the car dealership the following morning and were told they had to pay the offenders a substantial amount of money and threatened violence if they did not pay,” police said in a news release.

Police say one of the victims was able to identify the kidnappers during the ordeal.

Now being held without bail: 24-year-old George Athanasakos of Wood Dale and 27-year-old Brandon Bratcher of Hanover Park. Each is charged with three counts of aggravated kidnapping and three counts of armed robbery, authorities say.
