CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Two Chicago police officers are being investigated for the alleged beating of a teenager and two others for their alleged roles.

The officers were involved in a confrontation on Jan. 10 at 65th and Drexel, in the Woodlawn neighborhood, with a 17-year-old boy, who’s alleged to have hit a squad car while driving a stolen car and pointed a gun at the officers.

According to the Tribune, records obtained from the Civilian Office of Police Accountability show two officers are under investigation for alleged “excessive use of force” for beating the teenager; one was alleged to have punched the teen in his head or face “without justification."

The records also show the two officers are also alleged to have conducted an improper vehicle pursuit of the teen.

A third officer is under investigation for failing to intervene during the confrontation and failing to report the incident; and a fourth is being accused of improperly activating a body camera.

All four officers failed to properly activate their cameras.

There’s reported to be video from a police pod camera. According to the Tribune, city agencies have refused to release the video since the suspect is a juvenile.
