
(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — An investigation is underway after two teenagers were found dead in a locked vehicle on Sunday.
Police and fire personnel discovered a 16-year-old girl and 17-year-old boy in Hoffman Estates around 12:30 a.m.
Life-saving care was provided, but the two were declared dead at the hospital.
The teenagers have been identified as 17-year-old Yeferson A. Flores Ramos of Hoffman Estates and Litzy Flores, 16, of Carpentersville.
Preliminary autopsies indicate they may have died as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning.
The incident remains under investigation.
