BEACH PARK (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police say three people are charged in connection with a home invasion Friday morning in north suburban Beach Park.

Investigators from the Lake County Sheriff's Office said Melinda Uribe had called police to help her retrieve property from a home on North Sheridan Road, where she occasionally lived.

Police said when no one opened the door, Uribe was told to return later when deputies could escort her in to get the property.

Investigators said about an hour later, a deputy saw Uribe return to the home with Robert Carr of Mundelein, before they forced their way into the home.

Police said, later,  Keith Daniels from Mundelein also entered the home.

Investigators said Uribe and Carr battered a man who lived in the home. Deputies said they went into the home and arrested the three.

Prosecutors charged Uribe and Carr with home invasion and residential burglary, while police said Daniels was charged with trespassing.
