3 wounded on South Side after argument leads to shooting, CPD says

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A shooting on Chicago’s South Side Thursday night sent three people to the hospital.

Chicago Police said two men and a woman were standing outside near the Auburn Park Lagoon, not far from 78th and Normal when they got into an argument with another person shortly after 10 p.m.

That escalated, and the man or young man pulled out a gun and shot at the three people before driving away in a black SUV.

Police said a 31-year-old woman was hit in the shoulder and leg and a 34-year-old man was hit in the stomach. Both went to the hospital initially in fair condition.

A 40-year-old man was in good condition with a gunshot wound to the wrist.

Police know who they’re looking for. but no one is in custody.
