OAK PARK, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Someone has a thing against Little Free Libraries in a western suburb and police are investigating.
Little Free Libraries are usually on the edge of someone’s front yard or in a public place and look like a little house on a post and hold several books.
There are more than 175,000 of them worldwide with dozens in the Chicago area, according to a Little Free Library organization.
Oak Park officials said someone has cut down four Little Free Libraries in that village over the past couple of days in the 600 blocks of North Lombard and North Elmwood, the 500 block of North Lombard and the 200 block of North Cuyler.
Police believe the vandalism is related. They have a suspect in mind.
