ROMEOVILLE (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - There's new information about the discovery of two adults and two children found shot to death in Romeoville.
Authorities believe the shooter was not one of the people found in the house.
Deputy Police Chief Chris Burne identified the adult victims as Roberto Rolon and Zoraida Bartolomei. He said they are related to the two children who were shot to death, as well as three dogs.
In the early stages of their investigation, Burne said they believe the shootings happened sometime between 9:00 p.m. Saturday night and 5 a.m. Sunday, at least 16 hours before they were notified.
“We are not asking anybody to shelter in place. We are not actively looking for anybody in the area. We always do ask our residents to have a good sense of self-awareness and to report anything that they might see that is suspicious,” Burne told reporters this morning.
Police said they were asked to conduct a well-being check at the home on Concord Avenue after one of the victims didn’t show up to work Sunday morning and did not respond to phone calls.
