A new walk-in DMV is opening in the Loop, exclusively for REAL ID services.

The facility at 191 N. Clark Street will provide another option for Illinois residents looking to get a REAL ID before the May 7 enforcement period begins.

Starting tomorrow, Wednesday March 12, the supercenter will operate from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. This comes as the Secretary of State announced DMVs would expand Saturday hours to accommodate for REAL ID applicants.

The requirements to apply for a REAL ID in Illinois include:
• A U.S. birth certificate, passport, Naturalization Certificate, Report of Birth Abroad or a Certificate of Citizenship.
• Proof of a full Social Security number.
• Two current residency documents that list your full name.
• Proof of signature
