CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Officials at Brookfield Zoo have some animal-related Mother's Day gift ideas.
"Mother’s Day is a celebration for those we call mom and for all the amazing ways mothers support, protect, and nurture and to show appreciation, Brookfield Zoo has a few unique gift ideas for anyone whose mom is an animal lover," the zoo said in a news release.
You can adopt Troody, a Western grey kangaroos, who is new mom herself. While you don't actually get to take the kangaroo home, a donation to the Chicago Zoological Society gives you a photo of Trudy, a personalized adoption certificate and a plush kangaroo.
Maybe mom fancies feathered friends instead. For $10, you can name a parakeet at Hamill Family Wild Encounters. Naming suggestions and donations need to be completed within the next week.
