(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- If you'd like to take a child all over Chicago while also giving them a good book, there's a good item for your Christmas gift list.
Kathleen Dragan’s illustrated book “Rickshaw Reggie: Chicago Neighborhoods” is the story of some visitors who get a tour of nine communities within the Windy City.
“Kids can learn a lot of facts about places in those neighborhoods,” Dragan says.
She’s a Virginia native, and writing the book was helpful to her, too.
“Having kids here and raising kids here was part of what inspired me to learn about it. I wanted them to know about the place where they lived,” Dragan said.
