CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Looks as if there’s been another delay in Bally’s opening its new temporary casino in the River North neighborhood.
During a second quarter earnings call Thursday, Bally’s executives said that, instead of opening this month at Medinah Temple, its temporary casino will be opening next month.
The opening has been delayed a couple of times already. The company’s chairman told the Chicago Tribune that all the gaming machines and tables are in and that Bally’s is now in testing and regulatory mode. Hundreds of jobs started being filled in May.
The temporary casino will be at Medinah Temple for up to three years until Bally’s new flagship casino and entertainment complex is built on the site of the Tribune printing plant in River West.
