Bally's to stay open 24/7 starting next week

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A downtown Casino will be expanding its hours starting next week.

Starting next Wednesday, visitors can mingle and play 24/7 at Bally's Chicago casino.

The casino at the former Medinah Temple will open two days after Christmas at 8 a.m. and remain open- offering gaming 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Shuttle and food service will also see some changes to better accommodate players. The casino currently offers an hourly shuttle service direct to the casino for customers coming from the areas near Wentworth and 28th Street and Wentworth and Archer, near the Chinatown Library.

The casino has plans to expand shuttle services to other areas of Chicago. The most up-to-date schedules and routes can be found here. Wabash Café will also be open 24 hours a day, offering quick-serve meals, including breakfast options.

"Opening our doors 24/7 is an important step as we continue to increase our visitation," said Mark Wong, Vice President and General Manager of Bally’s Chicago Casino.

“For November, we were the second most visited casino in the state, and we saw our highest guest admissions to date. This is a progression towards attaining the goals we set out to achieve and gives us similar hours to other local casino properties.”

Bally's Chicago will continue to close at 4 a.m. until next Wednesday.
