We've gone from swiping, to inserting, to tapping – and now, some fraudsters are using wireless devices to "ghost tap" your card without you even knowing.
In crowded places, they may brush past you and trigger a transaction. Other pose as vendors or charity workers, asking for a quick tap – and then charge for more than you agreed to.
Always verify payment details and monitor your accounts regularly.
Use RFID-blocking sleeves and set up transaction alerts with your bank or credit card provider.
