The Bears’ #1 pick in Thursday night’s NFL Draft is giving Chicago fans a lot of hope.

Fans who couldn’t make it to Detroit to see in person the Bears pick USC quarterback Caleb Williams were able to watch - and celebrate - at Soldier Field. That’s where Jayden told CBS2 he was thrilled to have the USC quarterback

"I'm so excited about the #1," he said. "It's finally nice to have a good quarterback."

This was the team's first #1 pick in 77 years.

The choice of Williams was no surprise, but fans who gathered at the stadium were pleased to see the Bears use their #9 pick to select wide receiver Rome Odunze.

Fellow Bears fan Greg Feltes spoke to CBS2 about getting a franchise quarterback.

"This is the beginning," Feltes said. "I've never had a quarterback, and my son is going to have a quarterback and he's two-and-a-half."

Fans were also able to run the field, kick field goals, and tour the locker room at a draft party.
