(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago's famous Billy Goat Tavern is celebrating its 90th birthday.

The Billy Goat is famous for its cheeseburgers and for employees shouting, "cheeseburger! cheeseburger!"

Customer Dominique Crutcher said the food is as good now as it was in 1934.

“Definitely have a legend, yeah, they definitely, they have some hot peppers, hot burgers. They definitely gotta try to Obama. It's definitely, it's very hot,” Crutcher said.

The "Obama" burger at the Billy Goat is an "off menu" item.

The Billy Goat was made famous by a "Saturday Night Live" sketch with John Belushi in the 1970s.

Bobby Kyriakopoulous has worked at the location on the 400 block of North Lower Michigan for decades.

He told WBBM about the famous "Curse of the Billy Goat" that was put on the Cubs in 1945.

“Billy, the original owner, who took the goat to the game between the Cubs and the Tigers, and he put the curse to the Cubs 1945. He's the man,” Kyriakopoulous said.

The Billy Goat is also known for employees shouting, "cheeseburger! cheeseburger!" which was the inspiration for a "Saturday Night Live" sketch with John Belushi in the 1970s.
