(670 The Score) The Blackhawks continued a busy Monday as NHL free agency opened by bringing back one of their former players.
The Blackhawks will sign forward Teuvo Teravainen on a three-year deal worth $5.4 million annually, according to multiple reports.
Teravainen, 29, had 25 goals and 28 assists in 76 games with the Hurricanes last season. He spent the last eight seasons in Carolina.
Teravainen made his NHL debut with the Blackhawks as a prized 19-year-old prospect late in the 2014 season and was part of Chicago's Stanley Cup championship team a year later in 2015.
The Blackhawks traded Teravainen to the Hurricanes in June 2016 along with veteran forward Bryan Bickell, whose contract was being offloaded in the deal.
The Blackhawks also reached agreements with forward Tyler Bertuzzi, goalie Laurent Brossoit, defenseman Alec Martinez, center Craig Smith and forward Pat Maroon, according to reports Monday.
