ROSEMONT, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- People who use the O’Hare branch of the CTA’s Blue Line on weekends can expect some inconvenience over the next three months, starting tonight at 10 p.m.

The CTA is replacing 50-year-old tracks on weekends through May.

The Belmont, Logan Square and California stops will be impacted and wil be served by shuttle busses. Work starts at 10 p.m. on Fridays and wraps up at 4 a.m. on Mondays.

There will be regular service for weekday rush hour riders.

Getting to and from O’Hare while the work is being done is going to add quite a bit of time to trips, because it includes getting off a train, taking a bus around the work and getting back on a train.

How much more time will be added to the trip is unclear. If riders have a plane to catch, they should keep this in mind.
