CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) – Officials in Johnsburg continue efforts to determine how two Naperville men ended up in a lake where their bodies were found floating.

Family members of the men, 31-year-old Robert Clow and 89-year-old Theodor Wachter, were reported missing on Sunday, which led to the Will County Sheriff’s office calling the McHenry Township Fire Protection District.

Their last known location was the Oak Park Lounge in Johnsburg, a bar on Pistakee Lake.

Authorities started the search there and found a vehicle registered to one of the men. Nine hours later, the bodies were found floating in open water and were reported to have been found with ice-fishing gear, according to LakeMcHenryScanner.com.

It’s unclear whether they were fishing at the time of their deaths, but the Sheriff’s office said their deaths do not appear suspicious.

The results of the autopsies have not yet been released.
