CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police are investigating the discovery of human remains found on the Near West Side Thursday.
Police said someone walking on a sidewalk on Taylor Street near Rockwell made the discovery. It was just before 6 p.m.
They found a box containing human remains and called 911. The location is near the Medical District, which includes teaching hospitals.
It's unclear if the remains might have been related to that and the box was mistakenly or purposely left there.
Police say detectives are investigating.
